Our Story

In 2014, Snaks 5th Avenchew was started by avid Equestrian, animal lover and native New Yorker, Carrie Sarabella. Determined to create a one stop-shop, to offer only the best and unique products to all pet owners, she named her business "Snaks 5th Avenchew", which pays homage to her favorite department store "Saks 5th Avenue".
Created originally for her own pup's extreme food allergies, and finding interest in the health and well-being of her own fur-children, Carrie channeled her medical background and inner baker, to blend the two determined to find new and innovative ways to change the way your pet "Snaks", without suffering the side effects.
Carrie approached this new endeavor with one thought in mind, "Everything is processed these days, and if I can't read the label, why would I want it?" She worked closely with veterinarians to develop a recipe that could be shared by all breeds! It turned out to be a hit! Shortly after, Snaks 5th Avenchew broke the mold in the equine world, creating the FIRST Equine Bakery style treats. "It made sense, because everyone that has a horse, has a dog. I for one am one of them!", said owner Carrie Sarabella when asked "Why horses?" Having never been seen or done before in the "horse world", Snaks quickly caught on amongst the equestrian community and is now is over 608 stores. 
Snaks 5th Avenchew provides pets with all-natural treats; reducing more than 95% chance of digestive issues, (which has become very common amongst the canine community).
Snaks are made with only simple, human grade ingredients! Which means, you can try them too (if they let you)...
